Screen Grab for Orchid Righteous 3DFX. Grabs pictures from games. From the Readme: Quote: grab.exe (55.5 kb) If you've tried to take screenshots of 3Dfx games you may have noticed that traditional screen capture utilities don't work. This utility will allow you to grab what's currently in the frame buffer of your Righteous 3D card (I don't know if it works with other 3Dfx boards, but I'm sure it does). This is an unsupported utility. DO NOT contact Orchid or 3Dfx Interactive regarding its use. Instructions. Use this utility in Windows 95. Start up the gameyou wish to take a screenshot of. When you're ready to take the screenshot, go back to your Windows 95 desktop (do not exit the game) -- you can do this using the ALT-TAB keyboard sequence (if that doesn't work, try CTRL-ALT-DEL to take you to the task manager). From your desktop click on the START menu, and choose RUN. Type [drive]:\[directory]\grab -ft [filename] where [drive]:\[directory] is the name of the drive and directory the grab.exe file is located (e.g., c:\utils) and [filename] is the name of the picture you want to save (e.g., descent2_1). The utility will grab the contents of the frame buffer and safe it as a Targa file (it will be saved in the same directory the grab utility is located). Copyright © 1996 by Christopher J. Runge.
