This is the list of changes i have done in the original drivers: I have added the directory with the latests reference bioses available so everyone who have flashable Voodoo Rush can upgrade its bios. (please ensure you dont have newer actually installed on your card). It is really important to DISABLE VIDEO MEMORY CACHEABLE option in mainboard`s bios You should use the latest bios for VOODOO RUSH if it is possible. Reference bios often replaces manufacturer`s one, but it is not the RULE. Instruction for restoring the card after broken flashing procedure doesnt work on savage because s3flash doesnt support it. I have included separated version for PAL and NTSC TVout. If you don`t have TVout please select whatever you want Reference bioses can also be loaded in autoexec.bat if you afraid of flashing your card. To do it add this line: pal27.com or ntsc27.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Stability checking. Many people wants to fast check their system for stabilty. I am using 3dmark99 for this. I change the resolution to the highest available and run demo. If it wont hang it means your system is stable on Direct3d games. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8. Known issues. Well, it is an old driver so many newer games may work a bit unproperly -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9. What`s inside? In this package you can find: 1. In directory BIOS you can find two subdirectories and the file disk-cr.bat which will produce the floppy disk with easy and proper flashing sequence. After this you just need only to boot the computer from it. To do it you have to set in motherboard`s bios following setting "Bootsequence : A,C". In the subdirectory EXE you can find the utility which let you run any bios you want under command line(for adding to autoexec.bat - use line VGABIOS -fbios.rom). In subdirectory FLASH you can find following files: pal27.rom is reference bios for Aliance semiconductor AT25 with PAL TVout decoder - this is bios dated 12/04/97 ntsc27.rom is reference bios for Aliance semiconductor AT25 with NTSC TVout decoder - this is bios dated 12/04/97 vflash.exe is latest (1.04) version of flash utility dumpbios.exe will dump your original bios to file bios.bin so you will can in case of any troubles get back to your it. 2. In directory CACHEMAN the programm for freeing some windows memory 4. In root directory you will find the driver itself.
